Nature and gods are what defines most of the recommendations from February. Another short story and poem from Apparition Lit’s justice issue are on this list because it’s just that good and although it was technically published in January, the chosen pieces were only made available on their website last month. I also have an anthology to recommend since one of the following pieces is a reprint originally published in it: Octavia’s Brood: Science Fiction Stories from Social Justice Movements edited by adrienne maree brown and Walidah Imarisha, including a foreword by Sheree Renée Thomas, editor of The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction.
